Kaitlyn + Reegan’s classy AF wedding at Riverway Clubhouse – Vancouver Wedding Photographers

We kicked off our 2020 wedding season with SUCH a bang you guys, Kaitlyn and Reegan got married at the Riverway Clubhouse in Burnaby, BC, located just a short drive away from Vancouver, BC and from Pitt Meadows BC where many of their life long friends (and ourselves) came in from for their wedding day. Holy shit, where do we EVEN begin, Kaitlyn + Reegan, a pair of best friends tying the knot, on a once in every 4 year date (leap year wedding) with such amazing friends and family supporting them on this amazing day.

We seriously can’t recall a single moment on Kaitlyn and Reegan’s wedding day where they didn’t have the biggest grins on their faces, were over come bawling their eyes out, or were laughing so hard. It was so stinking beautiful, we seriously have no other words then, WOW.

Burnaby Riverway Clubhouse Wedding Venue

Reegan and Kaitlyn got ready at separate locations, wanting to see each other for the first time at their ceremony at Riverway Clubhouse in Burnaby. As each member of their wedding party walked down the aisle the anticipation grew to see Kaitlyn and her dad walk down that wedding aisle, and when she finally turned the corner, oh my god I think all 100+ guests had something in their eyes as the tears poured out, myself included. After an extremely heart filled wedding ceremony with hand written vows, Kaitlyn and Reegan had a very short but sweet Chinese tea ceremony, which was such an amazing way to honor their parents and family.

Windy Wedding Day Formal Photos + Poppin’ Bottles

After some super windy family formals, we rounded up the wedding party and went down the street to Burnaby Fraser Foreshore Park for their wedding party photos. Sometimes February in the Vancouver area can be either snowy, cold as shit, pouring rain, or sunny and beautiful, and Kaitlyn and Reegan totally lucked out on their wedding with one of the best days in February! Despite the winds really picking up making it FREEZING during this time, Kaitlyn and Reegan couldn’t have picked a more fun, beautiful, and supportive wedding party for their wedding day. Seriously, that gang really made us feel like such a part of their crew and we appreciated that more than we can express. Cause really, no one wants to be that creep with a camera hanging around a group hah, and this group made us feel like bonus members of their inner circle, talk about DREAM WEDDING PARTY/CREW! Now as much as we adored those humans, we let them head back to Riverway Clubhouse without our bride and groom because 1: it was freezing out, and 2: we love to provide some alone time for our bride and groom portraits as that’ll probably be one of the only times on their wedding day that will involve just the two of them. We popped on some slow jams and danced around the burnaby shoreline in Kaitlyn’s veil, I just wish we could repeat those moments over and over again, I can’t even handle that golden hour magic on their wedding day!

Now, onto the Good Shit. Getting Lit.

Everyone knows a good wedding entrance get’s the crowd hyped up and excited for the rest of the wedding day festivities. Well, as Kaitlyn, our beautiful bride, made her entrance the crowd went wild, she went to make her seat at the head table, and when doing so put her wedding floral bouquet down on the table, right into a candle, which made her dried flower bouquet BURST into flames! Everyone could not believe what they were seeing! Morgan (thank god for his quick thinking) ran over to Kaitlyn and grabbed her flaming wedding bouquet out of her hands and ran towards the front doors to safely put it out (please note, a few arm hairs were scarified in this, but much better then our bride or the Riverway Clubhouse catching on fire). Now talk about a wedding party entrance! Oh side note, Kaitlyn and Reegan also surprised everyone with some badass Chinese outfits for their entrance, so a nice little 2 for 1 surprise for all!

The rest of the night was filled with the sweetest, most heart-filled speeches from life long friends, parents, protective and loving brothers. Kaitlyn and Reegan had their first dance as husband and wife at Riverway Clubhouse in Burnaby by an amazing two human band, Winter Youth, which if you don’t know about this awesome band yet, we highly recommend you go check them out! The dance floor exploded with so many dance offs, singalongs and shots, it was SO amazing.
