I remember dreaming up this elopement editorial: we wanted intimate, summer time, ocean side, countless snugs while running through the ocean waves, and of course, a couple of best friends crazy in love. If I had to sum up this ocean side elopement editorial in three snippets, I think they might be: creamy & dreamy golden hour, barefoot in the ocean with zero effs given, yolo (are the kids still saying that anymore?).
Cailtin and Sina ran around barefoot decked out to the nines in their wedding apparel for this steamy and dreamy summer evening elopement editorial. Between all the giggles they shared together after a very long week of work, it was so nice to give them a night together to just sink into that sweet loving they both so clearly have for one another. The weekend prior to this elopement editorial, we had just experienced one of the most extreme heat waves British Columbia has seen in years and years. This after effects of this heat wave had ALL of us wanting to jump right into that ocean, and Caitlin and Sina took the plunge, wedding dress and suit and all, getting barefoot and splashing around together in the water. It was hands down, so steamy, dreamy, and fun! I’m so thankful for couples like these two who aren’t afraid to get a little dirty (or cool the eff down in the water) and it made for photos that I am SO damn proud of!
Kayla, of Styled by K, created a gorgeous boho vibe up do for Caitlin’s hair, pinning it back with a simple array of florals, with a beautiful braid that helped keep the hair off of Caitlin’s face while framing her perfectly. Brittani, of Makeup Mafi, decided to give Caitlin the most bad ass pink and black smokey eye with lashes for days, and a subtle lip colour that balanced the entire look. Lisa, of lisa glover floral designs, designed hands down one of the most stunning, overflowing and gorgeous floral bouquets/arrangements I have ever seen! I wish I had a greener thumb to know what all florals were used in this beautiful wedding bouquet, but you can take a look at the photos yourself to see what an amazing job Lisa did with these florals, and how truly creative and talented she is!
I am so thankful for Caitlin + Sina along with my fellow wedding vendors Brittani, Kayla and Lisa for pulling off this sweet summer time B.C. elopement editorial, and so damn proud of all of our hard work and effort for making some serious magic that evening. If you haven’t considered doing your wedding portraits at golden hour, we highly recommend you do!
