Classic and timeless weddings at Swaneset Bay & Resort
Amber and Dan put so much thought and beautiful details into their wedding day at one of the most sought after wedding venue’s in Pitt Meadows, Swaneset Bay and Resort. They chose the perfect venue for a classic and yet timeless wedding for the ages. A & D had a vision: a celebration surrounded by their nearest and dearest friends and family as they start the newest chapter in their relationship together, clean and timeless décor in an elegant venue, and to spend as much of the day together, holding hands and sneaking smiles at each other constantly. They hit ALL the marks with their wedding day, and the biggest shout out to their wedding planner, Eternity Moments Wedding & Events, who helped the day fly by seamlessly and with ease.
Once we met Amber and Dan in person, it was so clear how crazy these two are for one another, and just how big both of their hearts are. They started their wedding day getting ready separately with their massive wedding party (7 groomsmen, 7 bridesmaids, all the ringbearers, flower girl and lots of parents joining in on the fun). Over mimosas and champagne popping, Amber and Dan read the love letters they both wrote for one another before heading to their first look.
Wedding photo locations in Pitt Meadows
A few weeks before the wedding day Morg and I went location scouting with Amber and Dan around Swaneset and the surrounding area (specially near Pitt Lake in Pitt Meadows). We showed them some of our favourite photo spots near Swaneset, and we were able to see what the lighting would be doing for their wedding day during the photo portrait time. With this in mind, Amber and Dan had a super sweet first look inside Swaneset, then we headed down the shaded tree lined driveway up to Swaneset for their wedding party portraits, followed by Pitt Lake. Pitt Lake is one of our favourite photo locations in Pitt Meadows and we have shot countless photoshoots there before. In comparison to the heat, when the sun dips down at Pitt Lake, the colours that come out in the sky are absolutely breath taking. Take a look for yourself here Emily + Lane at Pitt Lake.
The heat was REAL for Amber and Dan on this summer day in Pitt Meadows, so after wedding photo portraits everyone freshened up before the big moment (aka the wedding outdoor ceremony).
Outdoor wedding ceremony at Swaneset
Amber and Dan chose to have their elegant wedding ceremony outside on the lawns of Swaneset Bay and Resort. They hired a harp and violinist to play live music as everyone walked down the outdoor wedding aisle. As Amber and Dan looked out at their guests during their ceremony, they were greeted by nods of approval and so many smiles from friends and family, lining the lawns at Swaneset. I don’t think I’ve ever seen Amber or Dan smile quite so big as when they were reading their vows to one another during their wedding ceremony. Guests stood to cheer and congratulate them during their processional down the wedding ceremony aisle, cocooned in a sea of hugs and cheers from their wedding party and family afterwards.
Wedding Reception in Pitt Meadows
The wedding reception in Pitt Meadows took place inside Swaneset in their beautiful and massive ballroom, located on the top floor of the venue. Amber and Dan had their dancefloor wrapped with their names and wedding date on it which is where they had their first official dance as husband and wife. After their grand entrance, they sliced into a four tier white wedding cake surrounded by flowers, baked by a local cake maker. Each table was immaculately set up for guests to dine and take in the heart filled speeches which flowed all night long. The actual partying and dancing happened outside on the patio, and I swear included some of the best dance moves we saw all wedding season!
