Michelle and Jordan hosted their epic outdoor wedding at Estate 248, it’s this awesome hidden gem wedding venue in Langley, British Columbia, called Estate 248. Michelle and Jordan have a way of making anyone they meet feel so special and important, it’s no wonder these two ended up drawn to one another with such sweet personalities like that. It was super important to Michelle and Jordan to spend a ton of time on their wedding day with their community of amazing souls they call friends and family. Having their wedding entirely outdoors at a venue that allowed for all the big things to be kept to one location (getting ready, ceremony, portrait locations, dinner and dancing etc.) plus with the help of a well oiled timeline and team there to support them and their vision for the day, Estate 248 in Langley was probably the best wedding venue for Michelle and Jordan’s wedding day.
Estate 248 has such a great getting ready suite for wedding days, no, it’s more like a little life sized doll house (pretty sure that’s an oxymoron if I ever heard one, but let’s roll with it). Michelle and her three bridesmaids (one of which is our future bride and little sister to the groom), all got ready at the wedding suite at Estate 248. This made transportation from home to the venue super easy peasy as once they arrived at the suite they didn’t have to worry about driving anywhere else that day, hand over the mimosas! The bride squad brought little snacks to munch on while getting ready for the wedding day at Estate 248, which is probably the number one thing we can always get behind on a wedding morning, starting your day with something nutritious and substantial in your belly is the only way you’ll make it (happily at least), to your dance floor late in the evening.
Michelle and Jordan opted for a first look at their wedding. A first look is when a couple getting married chooses to see each other intentionally before a wedding ceremony. There are so many reasons why we personally love first looks, but here are a few:
By doing a first look, we were able to photograph and film a good portion of Michelle and Jordan’s portraits at that same time. We photographed them, along with all of their wedding party portraits. By doing this it freed up time after their wedding ceremony for Michelle and Jordan to hang out with their guests outside during cocktail hour.
Estate 248 has a few ceremony locations on their property. Our favourite (and Michelle and Jordan’s top choice) is their outdoor ceremony location. This ceremony location is tucked away behind a rustic barn providing cool shade for a September afternoon wedding ceremony. Wedding guests sat upon long wooden benches, as their officiant, Steph, preformed the ceremony. Stephanie really took the time to get to know Michelle and Jordan. She made their ceremony so personal, entertaining for all, and knew the exact moments when she needed to speak up to get folks attention, and the moments when she should tuck away and put the full attention on Michelle and Jordan. In short, she was a fantastic and one of the best officiants we’ve worked with. Personalized vows are hands down, one of the best ways a couple can really let friends and family in on their relationship and love. Personalized vows are such a special way to profess your love to your sweetheart, and are a guaranteed way to bring out the waterworks. You can hear some of Michelle and Jordan’s handwritten vows in the highlight film Morgan created. After watching their wedding film, we bet you won’t be able to hold in those tears.

Michelle and Jordan enjoyed cocktail hour while sipping on champagne, mingling with friends and family over canapes and playing all kinds of lawn games. Cocktail hour is such a fun way to spend time with guest. It’s really special to have that time with all the people who have come together to celebrate you and your partner and make for excellent candid photo ops haha. We’ve been lucky enough to photograph and/or film probably close to 10 other couples that were guests at Michelle and Jordan’s wedding. There are no words what that means to us and the trust that this amazing friend group has with us and the bond we’ve formed with them all. Seriously, speechless when we think about how lucky we are with this sweetheart filled crew of humans.
The evening was filled with speeches and stories of Michelle and Jordan throughout the years. We heard from groomsmen, bridesmaids, siblings, and parents and even a song sung in Italian by our beautiful bride’s father. Michelle and Jordan chose to have Krispy Kreme donuts and subway cookies for their dessert, which was an excellent alternative to a traditional wedding cake if you ask us. Michelle and Jordan walked across the property under the starry night sky to have their first dance in the twinkling lights strung up around one of the rustic barns on Estate 248’s property.
We are so thankful that Michelle and Jordan chose us to photograph and film their wedding day at Estate 248. They made us feel like one of the gang the entire day. We are so lucky! Congratulations to these sweethearts and we hope you enjoy their film and this gallery.
