What a straight up crazy, intimate, and beautiful wedding season 2021 gifted us with!

Every year that I write these wedding wrap up posts, I kind of feel like that annoying auntie at christmas time, who used to send out up to dates about the famjam over the year (before social media was a thang), but really, now I understand those aunties and why they wrote those letters. They wrote them because they were so damn proud! Proud of the accomplishments of their family, the feats they concurred, the obstacles they absolutely demolished and kicked the shit out of. And like the proud aunties we are, we are so incredibly proud of all that our 2021 wedding couples had to go through, so that they could have one of the best days of their lives, to crack open a brand new chapter in their relationship with one another, to rally those nearest and dearest to them, and celebrate all night along in whatever way was allowed.

In 2021 we were able to photograph weddings all over Vancouver and the surrounding area. From intimate elopements on the beaches of Tofino, backyards transformed into the most magical Narnia esque realms, Galiano Islands sand trapped between all 10 guest toes during hand written wedding vows, bridesmaids ziplining along the farm property with the most epic dance moves to follow, gondola rides and suspension bridges on the sea to sky, mountain backdrop 100 person weddings, to say the least, 2021 was a wild year for weddings in British Columbia.

We are so incredibly thankful for all of our amazing, badass, couples who chose us (aka The MacLeans) to photograph and film their wedding days this past year. We honestly wouldn’t have got through this past year if it wasn’t for them. Allowing us into a day that really is a milestone marker, the beginning of a new chapter together, and to trust us enough with their vulnerability, to document all the real and raw emotions, from the in between laughing moments, to the messy snotty tears running down their faces, because this day finally came into fruition for them, we are eternally grateful, and so humbled that they trusted us.
