This past summer Morgan and I travelled to Victoria BC to photograph Sarah and Doug’s steamy, dreamy, golden hour sunset engagement photoshoot. With sweeping views of the city of Victoria BC, and as the sun dipped down behind the mountains, Sarah and Doug snuggled up for their engagement photoshoot. These two dream boats are actually getting married in 2023 and we’ll be photographing their wedding locally, but when they told us they were moving out to Victoria we planned a trip and a little visit to shoot their engagement photoshoot. Morg and I arrived in Victoria earlier that day, checking into our airbnb right in downtown Victoria, and did some location scouting prior to the engagement session to make sure we knew exactly where we were going to take our couple for their shoot and get a lay of the land. I’m super happy we did this before meeting them as we wandered off for about 20 minutes in pretty much the complete opposite direction to where we ended up taking Sarah and Doug for their photoshoot hah.
Doug (our groom to be) is actually the brother of one of our previous wedding couples, and you can see that wedding gallery here: Swaneset Wedding in Pitt Meadows, BC — The MacLeans. His family is filled with the biggest sweethearts around, and we cannot wait to see them again for his and Sarah’s wedding day!
We had such an amazing time with Sarah and Doug, kick starting their engagement session over beers and meeting them pretty much for the first time in real life that night. The night was filled with so much emotion, so much laughter and all the feels in such a drop dead gorgeous spot for an engagement photoshoot in Victoria, these two truly felt more like friends then strangers. We are so thankful and excited to celebrate and document their wedding day in just 2 short years!
