Louisa and Michael’s intimate elopement – Hycroft Manor Wedding
Louisa and Michael decided to elope at Hycroft Manor in Vancouver, British Columbia on a beautiful August afternoon. From the moment we first met Louisa and Michael, we knew that we were going to be instant friends with them, and seriously couldn’t wait to shoot their intimate wedding day at Hycroft.
This intimate elopement included our bride and groom and just seven of their immediate family members. The amazing ladies at Elope with us Van (Michelle and Lisa), made the entire wedding day so seamless, from ensuring that the ceremony site was set up exactly as Louisa had envisioned, to checking in with Morg and I for input on the where we would prefer the ceremony site be held (the covered patio at Hycroft Manor is absolutely gorgeous and amazing for some much needed shade during a hot august ceremony), to keeping all family members happy and organized during family photos. All this helped Louisa and Michael enjoy their elopement day and live in that moment just a little bit longer, and that is something we always strive for with our wedding couples.
Lousia and Michael had a beautiful first look on the balcony overlooking the gardens at Hycroft Manor. Followed by a very intimate and sweet ceremony in front of a beautiful floral archway, with the highlight being Michael’s handwritten vows which pretty much had everyone simultaneously crying and laughing (ourselves included). After the ceremony we took Louisa and Michael around the grounds of Hycroft Manor for some private bride and groom portraits, and had such an amazing time documenting such a pure and deep love that they have for each other. To finish off the day, Louisa and Michael sent us home with the sweetest note and some of our bride’s famous handmade cookies, which I’ll be real, it was hard to share those with Morg.
We are so thankful for the opportunity to photograph with such beautiful souls like Louisa and Michael, and are absolutely in love with their elopement at Hycroft Manor in Vancouver, British Columbia.
