I’ve always loved running around barefoot in a fields full of flowers, and when one of my very good fellow wedding vendors/friends Bev (Hand Lettered Love by Bev) and I discovered this beautiful hidden gem lavender farm in metro Vancouver, we got to planning and organizing this amazing bridal inspired wedding photoshoot at the Full Bloom Lavender Farm.

Bev and I knew we wanted a variety of looks for this bridal inspired wedding shoot, and since we were using a real life couple (who happened to be engaged at the time of this shoot and a lash client of one of my own wedding couples), I wanted to warm them up to the idea of shooting with me. Normally we’d do an engagement shoot a year to six months out from a wedding day, and I wanted to give Tarlyn and Matt this same experience with me; comfortability in front of me and connection, an understanding of how they are in front of the lens, a night that they’d be able to look back on and smile at, and some bomb ass photos together. I asked Tarlyn and Matt to come prepared with a few different outfits, and they came equipped with about half a dozen outfits each, all of which looked STUNNING on them! I love it when a couple brings such an array of outfits that make them feel and look their best, it allows me to help them figure out what will look best together and best with the location and activities we have planned for their shoot.

Our bridal inspired shoot took full force as Bev and I set up so many beautiful floral arrangements, pastel purple french macaroons and signage at the Full Bloom Lavender Farm in Metro Vancouver, B.C., for Tarlyn and Matt’s photoshoot. I honestly could have photographed these best friends all night long. From the bridal inspired outfits provided by Aniela (a full length purple ombre tulle skirt) with a velvet bodysuit, paired perfected with two badass hand lettered bridal jackets Bev created for this photoshoot (a bridal jean jacket and a leather bridal jacket), Tarlyn looked absolutely STUNNING! Not to forget Matt looking so dapper in his dress pants and button up, and constantly making each other giggle, this photoshoot was one for the books.

I am so thankful to have collaborated with so many amazing fellow Vancouver wedding vendors to help make this dream shoot into a reality.
